Enjoy experimenting print making with silk screens on to fabric. You will be mark making on your piece of hand dyed fabric which you will then assemble in to a decorative cushion that will be an ideal gift for a loved one or a beautiful piece for your home.


Other Details:

Whether you are a beginner or have experimented with screen printing before you will enjoy the day by learning additional print making skills and create an original piece of art by playing with composition, colour and traditional textile methods. Jasmine will teach you ways of screen-printing and fabric dying along with mark making. She will have two sewing machines assembled for you to then craft your piece of fabric art in to the perfect home furnishing – a cushion.

This course is suitable a range of abilities including beginners



Specialist materials and your cushion pad are included in your course fee.

The tutor will provide other optional materials; the approximate cost for these will be £5 per person.


Things to Bring:

An apron / old clothing you are happy to get messy in.

A notebook / paper scraps.


Tutor Profile:

Jasmine has worked on her own business venture ‘J D’Cruz Bags’ since graduating in 2012 with a 1stClass BA (Hons) in Printed Textiles from Birmingham City University. After exhibiting her hand printed leather works in the form of handbags at New Designers in Islington she was talent spotted by Jimmy Choo and completed a 3month term at their HQ. J D’Cruz has currently won several awards including the Best New Business in 2016 in the Cherwell area of Oxfordshire and showcased at several pristegeous events including The Royal Windsor Horse Show, London Fashion Week, Soho House, The National Trust and was awarded support by the Princes Trust in 2015.


Times and Refreshments:

This course will run for 10:30am-1:30pm, please arrive by 10:15am for a prompt start. Homemade cakes, tea and coffee available throughout the day session. Any dietary requirement must be given to us a week before the course and will be met where possible.
